Hydro-Quebec hikes power rate to 15 cents per kilowatt-hour for miners

The Regie de l’energie has authorized Hydro-Quebec to charge 15 cents per kilowatt hour to digital asset miners. The increase raises electrical costs by three times and will only apply to new applicants. The province is also applying for an increase in capacity from 150MW to 500MW.

Korean exchange Bithumb falls victim to US$ 31.5m hack

The sixth largest exchange by volume according to was compromised last night. Hackers have siphoned US$ 31.5 million from the exchange’s hot wallets.
